Dear Fellow Member,
I hope that you, like me, are looking forward to another season of Probus Meetings.
For me, it has been an interesting summer with travel to various parts of Europe and meetings with an interesting variety of different people. Now we have to get back to the reality of shorter daylight hours and a return to our regular Tuesday gets-together in the Hall of Jordanhill Parish Church.
When I was thinking about those that I might invite to speak to us, I wanted a balance of people who would entertain in different subject areas, yet make us think about practical issues that could influence our own lives over the next few years. Ever since I was first invited to join Kelvin Probus, I have been impressed by the depth and enthusiasm of the discussions that emerge at almost every meeting. I hope that the speakers for this coming year will continue to generate the interests and debate to which we are accustomed.
I hope that you all continue to enjoy good enough health to join us every second Tuesday and that you find the subjects varied and interesting. We have already seen a number of guests attending recent meetings and I would encourage you to invite friends to come along to each and all the future meetings. Hopefully, some of them would then wish to become members and it would be great to welcome new faces.
I look forward to seeing you throughout the year and would be very grateful for any feedback (good or bad) to help us maintain the best format for our meetings.
