Abstract.
Mercy Ships is the charity that operates the Africa Mercy, a hospital ship. It is the largest floating non military hospital in the world. Mary’s talk will be about her experiences there. She will show photographs of her work environment during her presentation. Mary believes that members’ wives might find her talk on the medical and humanitarian work of the Africa Mercy of interest.
Bio.
Mary retired from the NHS March of 2015. She applied to work on the Mercy ship because the training we received in the NHS was so good and Mary felt she didn’t want it to go to waste. She went and worked on the ship while it was in Madagascar.
