Hillary Sillitto – Scotland 2070 – Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.

Hillary Sillitto is a retired Systems Engineer, living in Edinburgh.  He started his career at Ferranti in Edinburgh, and worked for many years at Thales Optronics in Glasgow.  Later in his career he was seconded into a senior civil service post in the MoD, before becoming head of Systems Engineering for Thales UK.  He held visiting professorships at the universities of Bristol and Strathclyde.  Now retired, he has a keen interest in renewable energies, climate change and environmental issues, as well as sailing, skiing, photography and grandchildren.

Hillary will talk about the book he co-authored with two friends, published in 2020, setting out “An ambitious vision for Scotland’s future – without the politics!”
