George McGill graduated with honours in Botany from Glasgow University, and as the title of his talk suggests, has spent his career in the field of rot and home preservation. He has worked in technical/scientific and managerial capacities with various firms over the years.
Since 1999 to the present (now in a semi-retired capacity), he has been Managing Directorof McGill Consultancy Ltd who offer independent expertise and training in the field of biodeterioration, preservation, and dampness and mould problems in buildings.
