Professor Andrew Roe gained an Honours Degree in Microbiology in Aberdeen in 1995 where he also earned his PhD three years later. Andrew stayed in academic research and moved to the University of Glasgow in 2006, to lecture in the Department of Infection and Immunity. He was promoted to Professor in 2018. During this time in Glasgow he has been deeply involved in matters relating to Infection, Inflammation and Immunity. Things which, by virtue of our superior age, we all have at least a passing acquaintance.
Since Andrew qualified he has been deeply involved in major research projects in Scotland, the UK and with international collaborators.
